Arthog Outdoor Education Centre

E-mail

Arthog Outdoor Education Centre is a residential outdoor education centre in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, UK. It is owned by Telford & Wrekin Council and has a national reputation for excellent provision of outdoor adventure activities and field studies. Although term-time use is primarily by Telford and Shropshire schools, our facilities and services are available to other client groups during weekends, halfterms and holiday times. Please contact us for availability - see contact link above.

The Arthog staff are a professional, highly qualified teaching team who are friendly, enthusiastic and supportive. The Centre is beautifully situated on the slopes of Cader Idris overlooking the sea; a quiet, safe, rural location away from the pressures of urban life. It has purpose built and recently redeveloped accommodation for 90 clients, with its own lab and library, disabled provision and extensive grounds which include a high ropes course. We run a variety of courses and training packages for schools, youth groups, teachers, companies and other organisations.

'Arthog Outreach' is now firmly established in its Telford base, with 2 minibuses (one of which is wheelchair accessible), and 2 staff. Challenging, 'extended school' outdoor education days are run at base (heated swimming pool, climbing wall and ropes course) or out in the countryside of Shropshire.
